Today is the 20th anniversary of the premiere of Beast Wars: Transformers, a Saturday morning cartoon that had a significant impact on me.

I was 10 years old when the show first aired–a lonely and awkward kid with few friends. Beast Wars was a companion of sorts for me; its messages have stuck with me. One of the most resonant messages was that of redemption and sacrifice. The episode “Code of Hero” made me cry then and it makes me cry now.

I want Beast Machines Botanica!

This was my favorite show as a kid. I watched this shit religiously.
